Description:Our plaster nest with prefabricated passages and chambers is suitable for many ant species, especially for species that build their nests in very sandy or stony soils. It has a hole for nest access. Plaster has the property of absorbing water, so a certain amount of moisture is stored. Nevertheless, the plaster nest should not be used permanently damp because otherwise it can lead to mold (by food remains or excrement of the ants). Therefore, if possible, species from rather dry regions should be kept here. This would be, for example, species from Mediterranean or desert regions.
